A duo with great stagecraft and presence as befits musicians with 38 year pedigrees, their show features a mix of original material and covers. Currently both integral members of well loved 70’s band CARAVAN, they have strong musical pedigrees in their own right.
Jim Leverton’s career began in the mid 60’s and he has plied his craft with a wide range of artists, from Frankie Miller and Engelbert Humperdinck through to Juicy Lucy, Savoy Brown, Blodwyn Pig, Fat Mattress, Joe Brown and of course, Steve Marriott’s Packet of Three.
Geoffrey Richardson is a highly regarded multi instrumentalist and has been an integral member of Caravan since the 70’s. Rare Live Recordings on MySpace
19th August, 2006John Lees' Barclay James Harvest have their own page on networking website MySpace, from which rare, high-quality and full-length live recordings can be streamed. At present there are four songs available, recorded live on the 1999 Nexus tour and the 2000 Revival tour, none of which are available on the Revival CD.
The versions of "Child Of The Universe", "In Search Of England" and "Poor Man's Moody Blues" have only been released on fan club CD singles, and are completely untouched live recordings which will give you a good idea what to expect if you're considering going to see the band on tour later this year. The only song from the band's 1999 to 2001 concerts which has not been available either on Revival or the fan club CDs was "Medicine Man", as none of the band's recordings was complete. However, we have now rescued most of the track (with a short section from the middle missing), and you can listen to nearly nine minutes of this classic BJH song for free, too!
